Book Aid International This organization increases access to books and supports literacy, education and development in sub-Saharan Africa.

826 Valencia A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages six to eighteen with their writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

Literacy Partners Offers classes to teach adults the basic literacy skills essential to lead a full life as individuals, parents and citizens.

Books for Troops A program that sends books to U.S. troops. You can choose, buy and send your book through the Books-A-Million website.

Pajama Program Provides warm sleep-ware and nurturing books to children in need.

  1. Good idea for authors and those who love to read to support programs that promote reading. It’s like nurturing a current or future customer base and it’s just a good thing to do.
